High-School Wrestling Grades: 9-12

Our High-School wrestling program is designed to provide a fun and supportive environment for young athletes to continue or begin their wrestling journey. Led by experienced coaches, we focus on teaching fundamental techniques while emphasizing important values such as discipline, teamwork, and respect. All skill levels are welcome, and we prioritize ensuring a safe and positive experience for all participants.

Benefits of Wrestling
in High-School

1. Improved Physical Fitness: Wrestling is a physically demanding sport that requires strength, endurance, and agility. By participating in wrestling, high school students can improve their overall fitness levels and health. 2. This can lead to increased self-confidence and self-esteem. 3. Enhanced Mental Toughness and Resilience: Wrestling can be mentally challenging, as wrestlers must learn to handle pressure, overcome setbacks, and bounce back from losses. 5. Emphasis on Sportsmanship and Teamwork: Wrestling emphasizes sportsmanship, respect for opponents, and the importance of teamwork and working together to achieve a common goal. 6. Safety Measures

1. Proper equipment: At Dynamic Elite Wrestling Club, we require our wrestlers to wear appropriate equipment, including headgear, singlets(optional in practice), knee pads(optional), and shoes. Wrestling equipment is designed to protect wrestlers from injury during training and competition. 2. Warm-up and cool-down routines: At Dynamic Elite Wrestling Club, we ensure our wrestlers always begin their practice with a proper warm-up routine to reduce the risk of injury. 3. Supervision: At Dynamic Elite Wrestling Club, a qualified coach or trainer is present during all practices and competitions. The coach monitors the wrestlers and corrects any unsafe techniques or methods. 4. Injury prevention techniques: At Dynamic Elite Wrestling Club, we teach wrestlers techniques to prevent injuries, such as proper body positioning and safe takedown techniques. 5. Hydration and nutrition: At Dynamic Elite Wrestling Club, we encourage our wrestlers to stay hydrated during practice and competitions.

Practice Session Overview

• Warm-up: The practice typically starts with a warm-up, which includes stretching, running, or other cardio exercises to get the blood flowing and prepare the body for upcoming drills and exercises. • Technique drills: The coach will demonstrate and teach specific techniques, such as takedowns, throws, and pins. Wrestlers will then practice these techniques with a partner, focusing on form, technique, and execution. • Live wrestling: The practice will usually include live wrestling, where wrestlers will apply the techniques they've learned in a simulated match setting. This allows wrestlers to practice their skills against a live, resisting opponent and helps them develop their timing, strategy, and mat awareness. • Strength and conditioning: Wrestling is a physically demanding sport, so most practices will include some form of strength and conditioning exercises. This may consist of weight training, bodyweight exercises, or drills designed to improve explosiveness, endurance, and power. • Cool-down: At the end of the practice, wrestlers will typically cool down with static stretching and recovery exercises to reduce soreness and improve flexibility.
